• Globalizer Uses Webalizer and a SOAP collection server to process multiple sites and provide database driven reports. Written/tested at CERN by Jimmy Dubuisson. Released under the GPL.

• Autonomous System Number ASN Extension for the Webalizer. Useful for high-traffic sites and ISPs when they know from which networks the visitors are coming from. For example they can plan future peerings or other things based on this information.

What else you might need

Please note that the binary distributions may or may not work on your particular system, depending on many factors. The recommended way to get The Webalizer running on your system is to compile it from source. In order to compile, you will also need:

• GD Graphics Library Version 1.7.3 or later, which also uses:
  • zlib compression library
  • PNG library (portable network graphics)

• Berkeley DB Library v4.1 or higher is required for DNS and native Geolocation support. (Optional)

• Bzip2 compression library is required if bzip2 compressed log file support is desired. (Optional)

How to get help

• Read the documentation! Usage and configuration information can be found in the README file, which is about as close to a user manual as there currently is. You can also look at the sample configuration file which provides additional information and configuration examples. The DNS.README file provides information on how to use the built in DNS lookup capability and gives some tips on using the wcmgr "Webalizer (DNS) Cache file Manager" program. Installation information and help can be found in the INSTALL document.

• Check the Frequently asked questions (with answers) page to see if your problem has already been addressed. Most of the more common problems and solutions can be found there.

• Check the Webalizer Support Newsgroup at Yahoo! This is a searchable forum that you can browse and, if a yahoo member, ask questions which will be viewed by lots of other Webalizer users.
